Who We Are
Steel Tech Metal Fabrications is a semi-custom metal fabrication business providing components to the Emergency Vehicle, Railroad, AEC, Grating, and Commercial Vehicle markets. We are a Waldenwood Group Company, based in Belmont, NC.
Our core brand promise — Safety & Security Is Our Main Focus — is not marketing language. It reflects the reality of the industries we serve. Emergency responders depend on the steps and ladders we fabricate. Railroad workers walk on the structural walkways we build. Construction workers rely on the safety railings we install. That responsibility shapes every decision we make in the shop.
We specialize in forming, welding, finishing, and polishing products from high grades of stainless steel and aluminum. Our capabilities span the full fabrication lifecycle — from material selection and precision forming through welding, surface finishing, and final inspection.
Steel Tech is structured to grow each of its industry divisions independently. Each market — Emergency Vehicles, Railroad, AEC, Grating, and Commercial Vehicles — operates as a distinct business focus, with the potential to become standalone companies as each division grows.

What We Can Do
From raw material to finished part — our shop handles the complete fabrication lifecycle with professional-grade equipment and experienced operators.
Mitsubishi laser cutting, water jet cutting, Wellsaw band saw, chop saw. Precision cuts in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
CNC press brake (7606), hydraulic press brake (Able), precision bending and forming to tight tolerances in all materials.
MIG and TIG welding with Miller Dynasty 350 TIG, Syncrowave 250 & 351, Millermatic 210. Aluminum, stainless, and steel.
Belt sanding, grinding, buffing, and mirror polishing. Purpose-built polishing machines for stainless grilles, surfaces, and decorative components.
