Bridge Structure and Rolling Stock Components

The safety and security of rail workers, on bridges, in shops and operations, and on rolling stock has been a key focus for Steel Tech since 2001.

​

Our team has worked in coordination with engineers, procurement and operations to deliver walkways, steps and other components that provide stable slip-resistant platforms for employees and customers to safely complete their daily work and activities.

Bridge and Shop Grating: Steel Tech's initial support for the Rail Sector was in providing custom produced and coated platforms and grating materials for Bridges, Shops and other areas. We ask as both a mill designator distributor and fabricator as required.

 

As we successfully supported engineers and field operators, we identfied other area to deliver for the safety of team members. Specifically, in coordination with key customers, we developed designs and production processes for prefabricated 20 foot walkway sections for rail bridges/tressles. These process ensures consistent manufacturing of the walkway sections and drastically reduced the walkway build/installation process from several weeks in the field to days.
